How do I go about entering classroom?
What do we do first?
When Mrs. Smith wants the class’ attention: Mrs. Smith will: Say “Give Me Five” Mrs. Smith will: Count down to zero You will: #1 - Finish your conversation, or stop working on what you are doing You will: #2 - Turn toward the speaker You will: #3 - Hands should be free You will: #4 - Eyes on Mrs. Smith You will: #5 - Be Ready to listen What do I do when I need a sharp pencil? Here are your options:
Can I use my cell phone in class? No. We won’t need it because we have other awesome tools we can use. What happens when I need to go to the bathroom?
When do I turn on my Chromebook? Turn on your Chromebook at the start of class. When do I close my Chromebook?
Where does my science journal go? Science journals will be stored in your class’ science journal drawer. Put your science journal in the appropriate place in the drawer based on the first letter of your first name. When it is time to put your science journal away, put it back in your class’ science journal drawer, in the proper place. When is class over? Class is dismissed when Mrs. Smith says “Go be your best and have a good day.” What if I disagree with Mrs. Smith about something that happens in class, or with an assignment? Options: Talk to her before or after class Fill out a “Got a Question Form” on the FAQ page of our website How will I know what I need to make up when I am absent?
